Birthday Story: My Friend Is A Human Being

Guest Blogger December 16, 2018 4 minutes read
my friend is a human being

“A good friend is like a four-leaf clover; hard to find and lucky to have.” -Irish Proverb

Every successful man has a shoulder he rides on. A vehicle is useless without his wheels and in my case, I have a good friend for FRIEND. He is a stroke of love in my generation, a symbol of a human being and an epitome of Godliness. I write about a friend, my most respected friend who intends with the consequences of his actions and inactions. He sacrifices leg and arm to put a smile on the facial screens of people. His aspirations and inspirations can only incriminate the indolence and lethargy of the youth. He is a fighter: he never throws the hand but always conquers with his victory hands of locution. He is very distinct. I can only cloud the skies with words of his praise but I also know that his natural self of beauty is so adorable. I love him so much.

“A man’s friendships are one of the best measures of his worth.”- Charles Darwin

My friend is a big man with a big heart. His skinny and stylish dark body might confuse people to mistake him for the ordinary; because they might observe him from afar but the close, who are cleaved with his big mind will know he is a big man.

His ‘chamber and hall’ heart can accommodate anything and still has space. He doesn’t care to leave his room for you to sleep and he will stay awake through the night -the man has a big heart.

He cherishes life but relinquishes evil and negativity. I can remember the number of times he discouraged me, spewed negativity and made a demoralizing comment, yes I can vividly remember and it’s zero times.

Fun Friend

He is fun to be with. When a food is credible, it’s credible and when a fruit is competent, it’s competent. If you know you know. Hahaha.

He is the man who went to watch a UEFA Champions League final and dozed off. I can’t stop laughing but it’s a fact. He sees watching a movie as performing wonders. Again, if you know, you know. Very hilarious and fun.

He doesn’t count his regrets. He recounts his blessings. “My friend doesn’t count” doesn’t mean he doesn’t have but he won’t even remember.

He doesn’t count his loses. He recounts his lessons. They say ‘experience is the best teacher but I say experience is the best brother- my friend!

He is a gem of a human beigng.

He is a 360 blessing to my life.

His favourite statement is “have you eaten already”? Yeah, that reminds me. This guy I’m talking about is a good cook. He makes sure we break our fast before we set out to battle with the heat and frustrations of every ‘week day’s traffic. It’s no news when I say he is the reason I passed my examination because lots of people help others in that regard. OK. How about my profession?  I never wanted it until he introduced me to it and encouraged me through. He follows with keen interest, my excels and gives it every necessary attention and illumination.

A HUMAN BEING

Seriously, his kind is rare and very difficult to come by. You can’t complain about having him as a friend. He is always thinking of how to help someone. Very thoughtful and selfless.

I shed tears when I open my diary and his name appears more; My eyes are still cloudy because I have many memories with him but I can’t put all into writing (not in a page’s article) but who will even believe and why can’t everyone meet my friend?

Bible says in Proverbs (I will look for the exact text later) but it reads “there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother” and he is Mr HENKING A. Adjase-Kodjo. He’s such a human being.
